Sorry for the long lull between posts. I was just never thinking about blogging. The next little trinket, or rather trinkets, I want to talk about are the last two remaining pieces of the first china tea set I was ever given. It was beautiful! I set them up and displayed them in the room I shared with my little brother, I was around six or seven at the time, so my brother was about four or five. Each piece in the set had a beautiful painting of a girl playing tea party with her stuffed animal. I, being the imaginative girl I am, gave her a name, and told her about my day. She became an imaginary friend of mine. I do not remember her name.
One day, I go down to my room to play with my tea set, and what do I find? Max, my little brother, jumping on one of our beds, laughing and throwing the china against the wall. I was furious, and heart broken! I thought none of them survived. Max said he was sorry and gave me a big hug, and promised to share his candy with me, so I felt a little better.
Fast forward about six years later, I was cleaning somewhere and I found a cup and saucer in the laundry room. It was so fun to find my little treasure again! By this time, I had collected many tea sets. When I was eight, I had a tea party birthday, and I was given many tea sets. None as precious as the first. But I still love to collect them today.
